Happy new year, and thanks for stopping by my wedding and portrait blog! I’ve neglected this blog something terrible, mostly because my business has taken me in a different direction – boudoir photography. I am still shooting weddings, couples and headshots, and will be trying to blog more of my work in the coming weeks.

For now, I’m sharing a styled bridal shoot of the lovely Jenn. In fact, it was shot with another amazingly talented photographer (and good friend of mine) Jennifer Kennedy when I was in Powell River, BC to visit. I am a little embarassed to admit that we shot this in July 2010. Yeah…I’m a little behind on my blogging. We went to a top-secret location, however if you grew up in Powell River you know exactly where this is. It’s such a gorgeous peaceful spot and I try to go there whenever I make the trip back to PR. I spent many sun-filled days here with my friends. It’s one of the most naturally beautiful spots I’ve ever seen.

Costa Rica Wedding Photography

I am so excited to share these images of David and Sabrina in Costa Rica. David absolutely adores Sabrina with every fiber of his soul and I knew this within seconds of seeing them together. It was an absolute treat to photograph them together and I hope you enjoy the images!

David is an architect and built the amazing property we started shooting at, Punto de Vista Costa Rica. It is stunning!

Note the infinity pool overlooking the rainforest canopy. Can I move in?I just have no words to describe Sabrina’s beauty. Seriously. She is a stunning woman!The view of Manuel Antonio Bay from Punto de Vista.We ventured down to the beach for a different look, and found a magnificent rock formation.…I guess I should show you how they got up on that rock…

David managed to get up there on his own but little miss Sabrina needed some help! Good thing I bring my trusty sherpa *imean* husband along to assist me when I’m shooting!

Here’s me in action! No camera gear was harmed in this photo shoot (thank goodness).

And what goes up, must come down. We couldn’t have Sabrina jump into the water so Chad gave her a little help back to the beach.

A huge thank you goes out to Tropical Occasions for being so gracious and helping me set up a photo shoot and for connecting me with David and Sabrina. Also thank you to Wappa Fashion for lending us this amazing destination wedding gown to shoot with!

Trash the dress in Cabo, Mexico

Carol had a second wedding gown so we decided to use it for a Trash the Dress session! We didn’t actually ‘trash’ her dress, but got some images that we wouldn’t normally do on the wedding day. Sitting through dinner in a wet wedding gown just wouldn’t be comfortable!

Back in May I had the pleasure of working with Leah Stafford at Cindy and Bob’s wedding at the Sandals Royal Bahamian Resort. It was simple, elegant and a lot of fun. Cindy and Bob are totally in love and I LOOOVE that! Their family was a hoot too! Thanks to everyone for a great couple of days.

I did a Trash the Dress shoot in the Dominican Republic with Brittany and Jay…ok ok so it was more of a romantic honeymoon/day after shoot but who cares!! These two are hot and totally in love. **WARNING** lots of kissy shots!!

Brittany and Jay invited me along to photograph their wedding in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic on April 25th. What a gorgeous couple! Congratulations to the new Mr. & Mrs!
