Costa Rica Wedding Photography

I am so excited to share these images of David and Sabrina in Costa Rica.  David absolutely adores Sabrina with every fiber of his soul and I knew this within seconds of seeing them together.  It was an absolute treat to photograph them together and I hope you enjoy the images!

David is an architect and built the amazing property we started shooting at, Punto de Vista Costa Rica. It is stunning!

Note the infinity pool overlooking the rainforest canopy.  Can I move in?I just have no words to describe Sabrina’s beauty. Seriously. She is a stunning woman! The view of Manuel Antonio Bay from Punto de Vista. We ventured down to the beach for a different look, and found a magnificent rock formation.…I guess I should show you how they got up on that rock…

David managed to get up there on his own but little miss Sabrina needed some help! Good thing I bring my trusty sherpa *imean* husband along to assist me when I’m shooting!

Here’s me in action! No camera gear was harmed in this photo shoot (thank goodness).

And what goes up, must come down. We couldn’t have Sabrina jump into the water so Chad gave her a little help back to the beach.

A huge thank you goes out to Tropical Occasions for being so gracious and helping me set up a photo shoot and for connecting me with David and Sabrina. Also thank you to Wappa Fashion for lending us this amazing destination wedding gown to shoot with!

If you’re planning a destination wedding and would like to have me as your photographer, send me an email and we can chat about it!

Vancouver Maternity Photography | Kirstin and Kevin

Powell River is a little town on the Sunshine Coast of BC…I moved there with my family when I was 16, and stayed until I was around 21.  In July I went to Powell River for a few days off, and I managed to coordinate a shoot with Kirstin and her husband Kevin.  When I was in high school (eons ago) I used to hang around at Kirstin’s house a lot because her older brother was one of my very best friends. When I found out K was pregnant, I was SO EXCITED! How wonderful for her and Kevin to be expecting their first baby.

When Kirstin asked me to shoot her maternity session I was completely flattered.  The  session went better than I could have ever hoped for and I finished the shoot feeling rejuvenated. I shoot so much boudoir lately that it was nice to get out of my ‘usual’ and do something a little different. Here are some images from their maternity photo shoot, I hope you enjoy them.

Costa Rica Wedding Photography | Day After

As with all my destination weddings, I include a ‘day after’ photo shoot or a trash the dress session.  The morning after their wedding, I managed to drag these lovebirds out of bed for more photos around the resort. The hotsprings were so steamy! My lenses kept fogging up!This guy was enjoying a steam bath :)I loved how warm the water was. I am a total baby and if the water is not warm I just hate going in! haha!  Luckily it didn’t take too much convincing to get Bryan and Lauren into the water.

Costa Rica Couples Photo Shoot

While I was still in Costa Rica, I did a shoot for Nicole and Ej at the Tabacon Resort.  Nicole is Lauren‘s sister!

I know this may be surprising to some, but it rains in the rainforest. Frequently. Without notice.  See this video of Bryan and Lauren’s wedding day for what I’m talking about.  Nicole and EJ didn’t let it bother them though, you can see the tiny little raindrops falling around them in the image below.

One second it will be raining (left) then the next second the sun will come out (right).  They say variety is the spice of life! haha! Regardless, the changing weather makes for some interesting images and no 2 are alike. I do love having a variety of looks for all of my clients.  The photo on the right is so cute, I just love their expressions.

Hope you enjoyed the images I created for these two little lovebirds. Thanks for looking!
